Hello!

I'm Lauren, a journalist and audio producer based in New York City. I love stories that incorporate little-known history, singular characters, and/or a sense of whimsy.

My writing has appeared in The New York Times, New York, GQ, and Hell Gate, among many other publications. I launched and produced The Hell Gate Podcast, and have produced radio stories for outlets including NPR, BirdNote, and Fast Company.

Currently, I'm a senior editor at The New York Times Upfront, a monthly newsmagazine for high schoolers published by Scholastic.

I studied history and creative writing at Dartmouth College, and audio storytelling at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies. Check out some of my work here:
