I'm Lauren Vespoli, an NYC-based journalist and audio producer. 

I love finding the people, subcultures, and spaces that give New York City its specific texture.

My previous work spans podcast and radio production (Hell Gate, NPR, Prologue Projects), local feature writing (The New York Times, NYMag), and editing for travel and culture magazines (Amtrak's The National, United Airlines' Hemispheres & Rhapsody). ​ 

 

I'm currently a senior editor at The New York Times Upfront, the Times' magazine for teens (published by Scholastic).

​Outside of work you can find me playing viola in the Brooklyn Community Orchestra or running and biking around town.
